Finally got my Z3 Today...

Post by LookinFoolish »

Payment cleared, forms filled in, i'm a BMW Z3 owner!

Would you believe this car is 14 years old?? It's a 1997 model and has been looked after very well.

The only downsides were a couple of small, not very costly problems which were: couple of stone chips, remote locking being a bit intermittent, the leather inside needs a bit of a clean/repair, a door handle surround is needed, and the air circulator switch was cracked, so thanks to the guys in a thread i made, i sourced a part and fitted it this evening.

So, i'll stop talking, here is my Z3 !

thanks :) about covering the plates, its just more of a staying anonymous kind of thing, nothing sinister at all.

ill try get more pics eventually. My situation means i need to SORN the z3 for a few months, so ill use those months to really spruce it up and when i get it on the road it'll be good as new.

Surely 'lookinggood' would be better than 'lookingfoolish'

I used to obscure the plates on my car pictures, but got bored doing it in the end.

It stops people from cloning your plate to use in congestion charging zones or any other un lawful activity. So yes it is good practice to cover them.

lol Z3cade! My interior is different too, i've got a bespoke interior which i'll get pics of. Looks beautiful, just needs cleaning up and repairing in one spot.

Atlanta blue is such a gorgeous colour. I'll have to get a pic of what it'd look like without the vinyl, sounds good though 8-)

thanks! glad you like it. The guy who i bought it from knew the original owner (i'm now the 3rd owner since 1997!) and he said they requested a bespoke interior and BMW did that for them.

I don't live too near to you, but you never know, i might eventually see you guys on a Z3 cruise!
