Now the winters out the summer wheels are back on for the moment. Thinking of having a change 2 years owning the same wheels is not known for me but I do love them.
Also installed a small Rainbow active sub behind/under the passenger seat. For its size it packs some punch very happy with it and with a metal casing its very robust.
I've got a bar behind the seat to stiffen up the rear too. has made a slight difference I feel so happy about that purchase.

I fitted some poly bush rear top mounts as I've gone through z3m topmounts in less then a year. Top mounts are great only issue is my shocks are now too long and bottoming out so have had to raise the rear till I get hold shorter shocks. I've found a couple of places that can make some but anyone know of anyone selling some or any off the shelf?

Other then that had the car MOT'd so the next thing on the list is a service and detail.

While it was in winter spec I have a nice little mention in this months issue of Performance BMW :)

Zi's marmite Z3.... Now on corvette rims :)

Post by zibomb »

So another year and another change. Rims are from a vette C4 Z51 and are 9.5j. I bought the rims not knowing if they would work on the Z3 and Im so glad I did run them.

Also got a rear plate tub from the states a while back just never ran it till now. The plate on there is a friends old plate.

I know the wheel choice is not the normal oe spec so I don't expect everyone to like it but...

....I'll let the pics do the talking....

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Did you use wobble bolts ? the PCD is slightly different on Chevy wheels

I ddnt need to i just used normal bolts. They seated perfectly when I tested them a couple of times. Its only 0.3mm difference on each bolt. Wheel manufacturers are likely to have a bigger tolerance then that after the holes are machined and the wheels have been primed, painted and laquered.

The Corvette wheels look surprisingly good. Just shows how much a nice stance does for any wheel.
