Si's Z3
Si's Z3
Just before I start...a warning that I tend to get rather picture happy
Anyway, after falling out of love with my previous car too many times, a MK4 Golf GTI, I decided to sell up and start again.

So, about 2 weeks ago, I bought my dad's Z3 off him, as he was wanting a change too.
This is the day I got it

Since then its had a good, and thorough cleaning, and last night I met up with my mate with an E39 535i for a little shoot, so we had some photos of the cars before we started on the car changing mods, like suspension and wheels.

And tomorrow, I'll be fitting my coilovers, to reduce the amount of archgap that the Z3 seems to come with

Re: Si's Z3
I've got my coilovers fitted, and have trial fitted my wheels, to make sure they fit, before i start getting them all refurbished, and tyres sorted. But here's some pics of how it looks at the moment

Wheels look like they're going to be an ongoing, and most likely winter project, but should be on for next year
In the meantime, everybody loves pictures

Nice shine, Si...
What you doing with the front number plate?

Cheers dude
The plate currently still resides in its normal place on the front bumper. It just comes off for photos. Although I am looking at places and ways to relocate it.

I have a friend who removed his front plate, filled in the holes and relocated it as one of the 'square' plates to one side... looks good!sil53 wrote:Cheers dude

Re: Si's Z3
I do want to get the holes filled, ideally I want to respray the front to remove the stonechips. But it'll be a while yetSpang257 wrote:

I've been thinking about a sqaure plate. I'm also looking at the motorised mounts that retract the plate so its hidden, but pops out when you want it to

After my last car, its actually pretty high
Its actually really good round here. All the roads are soo much fun to drive again Although, I have just tweaked the fronts a little bit lower haha

Very nice, very glossy... Love the original Z-stars on that car. They look in very good shape.
