Topaz Blue 2.8 roadster

Post by Miller_102 » Wed 14 Dec, 2016 23:53

Took a notion a few weeks ago I wanted a new toy... so after a quick look online I found this 2000 BMW Z3 2.8 facelift widebody for sale. Topaz blue with all the extras and heated seats.

Collected it in Newcastle and on my way home sourced a topaz blue hardtop- which was only 20 mile from my home house- so got home and got the van out and went immediately to collect. Didn't want to miss it.

Absolutely love it, induction kit on it and seems like an aftermarket exhaust combined with the lsd this has been great fun so far

Plans:
Get hardtop- Purchased
Personal plate
Coilovers
3 piece speedlines or maybe fit the Azev's off my e46
New gearknob
Full detail and ceramic coating

Few pics for now

Since I have had the car home;

Purchased hardtop- just need to get a fitting kit? Not sure where to get this at though?

Changed the chrome grills to Matt black ones

Love this look now :)

Tempted to take the Azev off my E46 330cd daily to put onto the Z3.. just waiting on coilovers to arrive.

looks good - welcome to the group. Ebay is good for the fitting kits, however be prepared to pay £300 for the BMW ones (there are some after market versions that you sometimes see but they dont connect the rear demist). I would try your local BMW parts dealer - very possible you might be able to get the fitting kit for the same as ebay
Here come the girls.....

Very nice purchase! Similar to my own 8-)

Plans sound good, can't wait to see it on the new wheels, whichever set you decide to put on

Jealous of your heated seats also :D
