Media Player Problems

Post by mich »

Suddenly I am having problems with media player 11, having upgraded from version 10, I cannot copy or make audio CD, they play in random order on PC but will not play on CD player, no track info shows at all, I then tried the Roxio disc copier but while this ripped and burned as per normal the finished CD just would not play in my CD player, could it be the CD carrier in the PC that is the trouble????

Are you using a brand of blank CD that has previously worked in your CD player?

Yes, + a new brand to me SKC - CD R but that does not work either, funny that it happens with Roxio as well. could it be my hard drive or even the version of M Player, perhaps a re install would work?

Have you tried slowing the recording speed down? Might be that the new version tries to record at full speed ahead and the old one wasn't. I find I get a more reliable copy if I record at 4-8x.
