smartphone access for zroadster.net

Post by Budget M3 »

Dear Moderators,

Can we get Tapatalk installed on this site to allow easier access to the zroadster.net forums? I have it on my iphone for other sites that use vbulletin forum software, and it makes browsing much easier (and faster) than using the internet browser to access the forums.

I have no idea what would be involved to make this happen (cost, time, security, etc.), so please see "tapatalk" app under iTunes for more info...

I'm curious as to what this will do? :puzzle:

I tend to stay logged on here 24/7 with a shortcut on my iphones desktop to zroadster homepage, just tap it and it opens straight away.

Is this something else that it will do?

Tim.

1. It's faster...especially when using 3G connection to load forum pages and messages.
2. The pages get automatically sized for the iphone screen. That allows you to easily and quickly read it without having to resize or reload pages.
3. It allows you to create a favorites list of all you favorite vbulletin boards, so you can switch between forums easily without having to open a new browser screen.

There may be other benefits as well, but those are what come to mind right away.

Definitely better - if we can get this then excellent!

If you download and install Tapatalk though just be sure to remove the signature bit hahahah!

I'll third that suggestion, very handy app. I use it with other forums (on android not an iphone though :) )

I mean to install it on a forum of mine this weekend hopefully which is also phpbb so I'll give some input on the installation procedure etc after. (hopefully it'll be painless)
