VHS to DVD

Post by mich »

Being very very old I have a lot of VHS Tapes and was thinking of putting them onto DVD, there are free programs available for download which I will try first, any tips would be appreciated.
First; How to transfer from VHS tape to hard drive. I have Dell inspiron 530 and running Vista home SP2.

Thanks, will check it out, some one suggested that I can connect my VHS rec/player to my DVD rec/player but then I would need to edit on PC. I could use a DVD+RW. does that make sense?

I use Roxio Creator. It was about £30 and you got everything you need.

There is a USB dongle with phono plugs and a scart convertor.

I spent ages trying to do it for free and decided the best option was to spend some money :bawl: .
