Cruise Control for a Z1

Post by spokey »

Well, inspired by the progress of the AC thread, I thought I'd ask if anyone knew if the E30 cruise control would fit a Z1... :D

That's nothing Spokey. You wait till you see my electric glass divide panel and cocktail cabinet. My car henceforth to be known as:

BMW Z1 ALPINA Maybach Special 2.5i 12 valve DFC and Bar

I'm seeing about whether those special air-conditioned massaging seats will fit in too.
Best regards,

Sam Lever.

You're lacking imagination. Just the other day I was considering modifying my hardtop to fit a delta-wing and turboprops like Christopher Lee's car in "The Man with the Golden Gun". You'd need to strengthen the clamps of course.....

Actually, I have an E30 cruise control kit and I wonder if I can get it plumbed in. Would save me a lot of worries about speeding on motorways and suchlike.

Auco was once offering a cruise-control for the Z1 - but I don't find it at the actual website.
(see www.auco.de)

So at least it can be done.
