The following is from Spokey:

1. Birchanger services at junction 8 on the M11.
People who want to meet here MUST be here by 09:00 at the very latest, with their cars filled up for the cruise.
2. Baldock Extra services at junction 10 on the A1(M). ETA for this is around 11:30, if meeting there, please make sure your car is filled there.

Are these services independant of the Motorway or do I have to approach from a particular direction ?

Actually, we don't need you to keep this in mind. :) We need you to decide what you want off the menu and let us know, so that we can get the order in to the lunch venue by next Wednesday!

You can PM me with the food orders. Thanks!

Hey folks,

it's less than a week until the invasion. For all of you attending, I wish you all the best! Enjoy the trip, the people and the land and have some great fun! I also hope that the weather will be perfect (always eat up completely from now on!) and that there are no accidents (drive carefully in that RDH country).

Cheers

Andreas

P.S. Last but not least, please ensure that our British friends don't keep Franz Schaffer as POW. Maybe offer Harry as exchange. Thanks.

The Z1 sailed through its MoT and is now taxed, and was collected from Norfolk yesterday. First drive since last years french trip, I had forgotten was much attention this car gets !!

If you don't mind I will cut across country and tag along from Baldock services, aiming to be there 11ish.

Thanks, but food and accommodation not required

Regards

We are with you all on Saturday night and proposed joining the tour on Saturday morning, or I thought we were! Arranged the hotel with Jet some while ago. Don't know if I have missed out on any information about the route and rendezvous points for Saturday, but the post above about Birchanger and Silverstone is the first I have seen.
Is there a "plan"? What about Force India? etc.
Lunch at the Silverstone Golf Club: 1x Fish and Chips, 1x Chicken Caesar Salad. please.

Morning Gents,

One day to D-day! :pirate: On Thursday we will conquer Brighton, Friday London will be under siege and on Saturday we hope to get a bit of resistance from the UK Z1 Army at Silverstone.

I assume everybody prepared his weapon of choice from this battle. Let the Dutch/German Z1 Invasion begin. :D :D :D

I'd love to be there, even if only as a spectator.
It'll be an incredible sight and I'm sure a great social!

But somewhat ironically, I'm off to Germany for a party this weekend.... :D

Hope it's fun and looking forward to seeing the pics.

There are no more rooms at the Hotel. Anybody booked a twin and willing to share and split the bill?

Or is anybody staying local to the posh hotel near the yuppies :D , or know of anywhere reasonable to stay if I decide not to drive back on Saturday night?

They don’t call me lastminute.com for nothing!

Yo Jet, call you tomorrow been busy getting tracking done and polishing car, checking oils ETC ETC.

We are dropping the children off at the Monster in Law at 9:30. Of course this is completely in the wrong direction but isn't it always that way.

Aiming to meet at Baldock services at 11:30 or if late to catch you closer to Silverstone......
Best regards,

Sam Lever.
