Stealth Z1 First Photographs

Post by benslick »

New roof installed and temporary colour change in two days! It's amazing what can be achived with a crack of the whip! lol..

Made my choice & I love it! I think it looks brilliant in the flesh. It took 12 hours of solid work to get it done and if I damage it I can just get that panel fixed in an hour or two... I also had the seat backs and light inserts done also. I have some small finnishing touches to do and then I'll rekon I'll be reallt happy..

The material comes from Holland by the way HH....

P.S. If anyone messes with me now I'm a gangster, I'll just get out my
9 mil & pop a cap in ya :D

Tommorow I'll fit the new seats after work! pics to follow soon..

Good to hear your Z1 is on the mend Ben :D

Look forward to seeing the pics. When I last checked, white was leading the poll, did you bottle it at the last minute?

Yes that is the true my friend, I guess I'm a pussy after all as my wife got me to change from white to black as she said she would not drive with me if it was white! But don't hold your breath my colour will change again!

Ben,

Have to admit that I thought it would look awful in Matt Black but I'm pleasantly surprised. It looks like they've done an excellent job of the vinyl. I look forwards to seeing it in the flesh sometime soon.

Hey mate, cheers Harry. I don't care what they think as it's different and looks really cool through my eyes. We need to arrange a little 1 day meet before winter sets in!

Sorry Ben, but it's not for me.

What happens when a sea gull shits on it ? It's going to leave a nasty stain if you don't wash it off very quickly.

Awesome, its like Greece at the moment ON FIRE.

Without a doubt you have the best looking Z1 out there, why do you think BMW never used the Z1 colours again because they were sh1te.

You have my vote always bet on black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HHMMMMM! ! I have to say it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would Ben, my apologies.

I am surprised how much gloss the "matt black" has in daylight. It shows off the lines better than I expected. It may be hard to keep clean.

Enjoy the look, after all it shouldn't be too hard to change it to (whispers)
Imola Red. lol. Still love Z1s.

Hey guys

Post by benslick »

I have been told that the birds can use it for target practice because it just wipes straight off, no marks. Also I have just cleaned it and it's amazing as it just wipes clean really easily! What used to take hours took about seven mins!

First day of driving the thing and I caused a stir alright, people stoped in their tracks to look at the car. Get's alot of attention right now! Lots of wows... It sticks out more now than when it was red.. The opposit of what I thought... I think it looks best with the roof up now for some reason!

Gonna get on with my other hobby now!

All the best,

This is the second time I have looked at the pics and think it looks better...perhaps a set of satin black rims would finish the look of the car.

Looks very nice Ben. If I had this done id get my 5 spoke wheels wrapped in carbon fibre :D

I wonder what it would look like if the top half was matt and the bottom half wrapped in carbon fibre

Anybody know if wheels can also be wrapped??

Amazing mate. Look the business. I love matt black and wish i had the balls to do my MC in it. You must have nuts the size of footballs to do it. Mucho respecto!

IMO, it would look even better if you did your wheels black/charcoal also.

It looks sooooooooo different!

I feel like I have been beamed back to the early 80s when we had matt black steel furniture, filofaxes and Alaia skin tight black clothing

I shouldn't like it but secretly I think I might

I love the original Z1 colours but matt black does suit the very clean lines of the Z1.

Yes, so do I. They'd need to definitely be gold though.

It looks better than I thought, but not my cup of PG.

I agree that the car looks really nice, my only worry is when the time comes to remove the wrap.

I had the bonnet on my van wrapped 7 years ago and the colour has faded now, if it's as difficult to remove as was the vinyl on my shopfront windows.................

The bonnet or the wrap has faded? The wrap is only meant to be left on for a couple of years max.

I know a few people who've had their cars wrapped and peeled it off without too much trouble. Bring on the chrome wrap for the Exige!

The wrap has faded, mind you the whole van could do with a buffing up :)

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

And when a/several gull(s) crap on the car, you can fit a cowbell under the front grill and call the car "Daisy the fresian Z1"
