Spotted in Monaco

Post by Racing Tortoise »

This Z1 keeping illustrious company in a classic car dealer's window in Monaco. Had unusual alloys - looked almost like modern OE BMW ones but not ones I've seen before. Sadly the dealership was closed and I only had my cr*ppy iPhone camera to hand, but does anyone recognise them? They looked rather good.

It also seemed to have a colour-coded yellow steering wheel, which is a touch I haven't seen before.

I had them roll it outside last week so that I could get a good look at it and snap a few piccies.

Forgot to check the wheel size though! :head: I do like them.

Felix, you walked round the car kicking all the tires and never looked at the size of them :D

Very nice pictures Felix, a very nice looking Z1, I really like those wheels! how come I have not seen them before? only 1 thing I didn't like was where the 10 Disc CD changer was mounted

00Z100, the interior has been recovered, so has the steering wheel. The steering wheels only ever came in Green or Grey.

Thats unusual, Lemon leather retrim, looks like mine, nice. I imagine the owner would be very interested in some clear rear lights.

Excellent! That's the showroom up by Habitat - it was in a different showroom when I passed - down below the Aston dealer on the way to Roquebrune. Presumably same company then.

How much are they asking for it? Guess those lights have been hand-tinted at the back?

Felix - didn't realise you were living down there. Just been down there for a week by car (but not the Z1) for a family Easter. Some great driving to be had:

Nice pic Johnny! Although a Z1 would have been nicer for the picture than a 135i. 8-)

Ahhh!

They are 17"s according to the sidewalls.

Actually the price (EUR23k) doesn't sound bad. Kms are relatively low (60k) and, apart from the missing kidney grille (which I noticed when I was there), it looks in good nick.

I've seen those wheels in a BMW showroom here... Recently someone posted a catalogue of BMW wheels...you might have a look in there and see if it's listed ??
