origial floor mats

Post by bimmerlon »

I would like to see what original Z1 floor mats looked like! Could someone send or post a photo to me!!The only other Z1 available for me to look at has a near perfect interior but no floormats.I looked in the forum archives but the photos have been removed
I really appreciate the forum,I have learned so much reading all the posts!! There is not much Z1 information here in the U.S.

I don't have any pics, but they fit perfectly and match with the colour of the carpet.
You can still order them at BMW :D

Actually, being unused, they are a slightly different shade of Grey, but good enough.

Here you are

The original BMW mat with fixings and an aftermarket mat for the Z1, same colour but a better fit around the throttle pedal etc.

You can also choose a contrasting binding for the mat. I simply place the aftermarket may over the original.

Good choice, Lon...you will be very pleased with the fit of the OEM parts!

How old are these mats? I bought a new set from Sytners and they didnt come with the BMW roundel.
Does your car have the fixing points in the floor pan?

That’s because you bought yours down Dagenham market lol :D :D

The fixing points just screw into the carpet! I also need to get some as they are missing.

The green ones in my last car didn't have roundels in them either and were the originals so far as I could tell.

Perhaps some do and some don't.

JET

The "original" mats came with the car. Not sure if the BMW roundel is Z1 standard fit or not.

The clips simply screw into the carpet and thread through the hole in the mat.
