Best carfinder website in the UK

Post by carletti »

Which website would you recommend to buy cars in the UK? I am interested in buying a BMW Z1 in the UK.

Thank you in advance.

Autotrader is a good starting point :)

You need a UK post code to search on autotrader, I always use this one.

SW1A 2AA 10 Downing Street.

There is only one Z1 on there at the moment.

Dont waste your time with Autotrader, Pistonheads is popular or Classiccarsforsale.co.uk.

15000 Euros looks a good price to me.

Dear all,

thanks a lot for your help.

Pistonhead is very popular. My first experience was not an exploit regarding the website "http://www.pistonheads.com". I tried to contact the owner of a nice blue Z1. I never got an answer and finally, I contacted the operator of the website pistonheads. The result was : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2685765.htm... :-)

The violet looks great. I will check all the website and maybe contact one....

Again, thanks a lot.

I sold my last car through Pistonheads to someone who paid 25% over the price offered by webuyanycar.com and clearly liked the car too. I also acquired my Z1 throgh Pistonheads and haven't regretted that (yet!)

The Z1 in question is not on offer by a 'dubious' seller but by somebody who is currently working abroad and unable to make the necessary contact.
He has asked me to moderate the thread to remove the 'offending' words which I have now done.
Sapphire black/Imola red and black interior/ red roof/ S54 - the only RHD one made.

Well, I have received a message in my e-mail account with a new e-mail address. I asked for some information about this car (ex. more pictures).

I never got any reply !?!

Unfortunately the violet magic has been sold. That was a nice car....
