New Z2, what about the original Z2?

I've been reading in the motoring press about the new Z2, to me it just looks like a smaller and cheaper version of the Z4. A far cry from the original Z2 with drop down doors (I think this is definitely a marmite car). No such imagination in the new one. You can see where BMW got the idea from for the Z3 Coupe.

That has got to be the most hideous BMW i have seen by far. But thats just my opinion.

What happened to the Z1, Z3 & Z5 idea from last year?

Or the Z2 rumors from the last several years?
