Could be a reason, the ad says "Please note that these are library pictures"

I doubt it if you look at the quality of the rest of the stock - it's just a new listing. Plus I bought my Z1 from these guys back when they used to run Munich Legends, so I tend to believe they know their onions when it comes to BMWs.

Is this car also reasonably priced given its very low mileage of 5,700 ?

I tend to think not unless you just want to put it in a museum, on the basis that you'd be scared to use it for fear of destroying its USP - i.e. the low mileage. Plus really low mileage cars tend to have their own problems from lack of use.

After all, 45k miles is also pretty low mileage for a 21 yr old car by any normal standards, even if it's nothing terribly unusual for a Z1. Mine has approximately 37k miles on the clock and I'd guess many of ours have under 50k miles. My last one (now Bindy's) must be relatively unusual in having something like 70k miles on the clock.

Agreed, the premium pricing for a Z1 with less than 10k miles will rapidly disappear if it is used.

The tread pattern of the tyres suggests the car still on its original Pirellis, if so add another #600 to the purchase cost for replacements.

83,000 miles and £25k ?

I think I would have steam cleaned / valeted the engine bay before advertising the car.

Quite so. I saw that one in the back of Classic & Sports Car. And most you see advertised these days here in the UK start north of £20k unless they are tatty.

Hence why the Classic Heroes one looked decently priced at first glance.

The two photos don't look like the same car. The picture with the roof folded appears to have a British registration and light grey nubuck. With the hood erected, the front plate is yellow and could be Dutch but more importantly, the seats seem much darker.

Not very important really, since the car's likely to stay in North America. Let's just hope the new owner enjoys it (or them)!
