I should be back in the UK evening of the 18th, if its not raining a top down run sounds like a reasonable cure for jet lag.

I assume you can show up and pay on the day and dump the car in the public car park ?

Hey Jet,

I shall be there, but in the old 3.0 csl (all being well as it is not exactly going according to plan since spending all that money on the rebuild  )

I'll make sure that I come and catch up wth you guys though.

Hope you all have a good run up / down on Sunday.
Best regards,

Sam Lever.

Sam,

You have obviously checked the weather forecast for rain before deciding on the CSL !

I am afraid I committed to that car long before the weekend looked wet. After the de-rusting work that I had done over the winter I suppose it is entirely inkeeping that the 2 main occasions when I had used the car should have been complete deluge conditions. On the way down to the Le Mans Classic I was glad of my brand new rear tyres with the depth of standing water on the M40 and M20, not to mention the rain we had in France. Now it looks quite likely that Gaydon too might end up with more than its fair share of damp........

I know, wouldn't it be a good idea for BMW to design something futuristic, with a galvanised chassis and perhaps composite panels that weren't ever going to rust :D
