Reading a piece on the Renault Alpine GTA pointed me to a website called 'How many left'. So of course....

I used to tax mine for 12 months but since they started hiking the "road fund" licence I get a re fund and sorn Nov - Feb. I don't use it when there's salt on the road. This year it will probably sorn October as well as I will run out of miles by then - off to South of France in September.

Mine is always ready for action - what would I do on those sunny winter's days?

I never SORN mine - the saving isn't worth the bother. In fact mine's my acting daily driver at the moment as I am inbetween daily drivers.
To be honest, I can't wait for my new "normal" car to arrive (should be in about a month), as it's quite a fag getting the Z1 in and out of the garage (which is 5 mins walk away and very narrow so a b*tch to get in and out of - seriously I'm not sure what else would fit if you needed to open conventional doors) every time I just want to pop somewhere, plus I get a bit paranoid leaving the Z1 regularly parked around the streets of London at the mercy of bump-parking yummy mummies in battle-scarred Cayennes.

A V10 M5 was a very fine toy to play with for 18 months but I did eventually tire of its ability to drink a tank of fuel in under 100 miles in London driving. So I have a new 5dr M135i being delivered next month.Jet wrote:What have you done RT?Racing Tortoise wrote: In fact mine's my acting daily driver at the moment as I am inbetween daily drivers.
