I recently inherited a 1989 Z1 and which has 86,000 km and is in generally good condition. This Z1 is the same year/color as the one soon to be featured on TV mentioned here: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... =4&t=41067.
Sadly, because of career demands and future plans I simply do not have the time or dedication necessary to devote to restoring this gem to mint condition.
As a historically significant model and progenitor of the Z-line, the Z1 offers an excellent investment opportunity for someone prepared to make the necessary refurbishments. As detailed in the other thread, a similarly restored Z1 apparently sold for around £24K. About the car:
The engine was well maintained but required a cylinder head repair, performed my BMW
in 2008. The front and rear bumpers have some damage and there are several areas of minor damage to the side panels hairline cracks. The leather interior and fabric is showing some wear.
The car is currently registered and garaged near Essen, Germany.
Available upon request for on-site inspection, test drive. Ownership documents, maintenance records as well as 2 Keys with separate theft prevention sticks (Wegfahrsperre) required to start the engine.
