Here in bahrain drivers tend to be a bit less careful !
My outer plastic panels have some splits from knocks.
Also, where the wings etc bolt to the body, the plastic has split.
Has anyone any ideas on how to repair such damage?
Thanks
John

For the moulded plastic panels, the normal way to repair small splits, would be to use welding techniques as practiced by 'Smart Repair' centres on plastic bumpers. The panel would then require filling (special flexible filler) and re painting (special flexible paint additives required). Yep it's not exactlly down to Halfords for a tin of pug and a can of paint.
However, you could try using glass mat bonded onto the rear of the panel to hold it to shape,a nd then filling from the front in the usual way. But plastic welding would be the best since it retains more flexibility than resin impregnated mat.

Hello,
I made some research few month ago and I found on 3M website that some of their "Duramix" product range dedicated to repair plastic panels made of Xenoy (the material use on most of Z1 body panels).
http://www.autobodysupply.net/Duramixplasticrepair.htm
I did not go deeper because I still don't need if (hopefully !) but it might the product that you need.
Best regards
Frederic
