Hi Compact,

I believe when last available they were just under £300 each! Don't think they are currently available.
BMW are in the habit of producing these parts in batches now when they deem it necessary.
The prices of many BMW Classic Parts have seen high price rises over the last 5 or so years.

Jet.

What are you on?
Have you looked at BMW Classic Parts.de?

Perhaps I am not in tune with your sense of humour!

Are they the older version, or newer with fog lamps built in?
If 'newer' I'd be very interested in the left one - please ping me if so.
Thank you

Thanks Jet, that is a relief!

Can I be impertinent and ask if your humour is also responsible for the March Straight Six cover caption ARE 'FRIENDS' ELECTRIC ?
I would expect very few readers would have understood the origin. Further I could find no relevant link to any relevant magazine content which is expected on magazine covers.

With apologies for hijacking the thread (especially if you are not the Gary Numan fan!).

They are all the same, apart from fog light activation, which depends on country of origin.

Not sure how much they are worth? Can you still get them?

No, I sold it it a few years ago and I wish I hadn't, I now can't afford to buy a Z1, I have had a few over the years.

How much are the lights from the dealer?

About 3x what you paid for them. As you have found, its the kind of part you might buy and store away, hopefully never need.

How much do you want for them?

I just checked with my local dealer and he said they are £675 each inc VAT BUT only the offside is available, there are no nearside Z1 rear lights in the UK or Germany! I think the nearside is worth £500 but the offside £700? £800? I would probably take £1000 for the pair. They are brand new in their box, never used. Cheers

New Old Stock. Original parts that have sat on a shelf somewhere for years, as opposed to reproduction parts.

Cheers R.

It seems possible to add a right tail lamp assembly to the shopping cart but not the left?

Hi Felix,

correct... it seems, the left one isn't available at the moment. But I'm sure, they will make new ones in one, two, three month/years/decades... :D :D :D

A little example:
The spare part man of my BMW dealer just asked the Classic for the delivery date of a new cylinder head. The answer was: "Maybe it will be available again in 2020". :head: :head: :head:

regards
Michael
