Does anyone here know the people behind this wind deflector supplier? Or had any dealings with them in the last few years?

Hello tg184 good to see you posting again :D

I assume you are referring to the Perspex windeflector as opposed to the mesh? going by the pics on their site.

I have no personal knowledge of this company, but Jet has the Perspex type on his car I'm sure he will be on here soon to let you know where he obtained his.

BTW: Did you get your seats recovered?

Thanks guys.

I approached them a while back about a wind deflector, and they were very helpful in responding to emails. Sent off the money about a month ago and suddenly it's all gone quiet, can't even get a response to emails. Hoping it's just that they've been away or busy over the holiday, just getting a bit antsy.

My previous emails to info@cabriodesign.nl got replies from someone called 'Marleen', is that correct do you know? (I'm wondering if my emails were intercepted and spoofed).

Thank you all for your help.

A few days after I posted, hadn't yet phoned, and I got a notification from the Dutch arm of the courier that they had a parcel they were shipping to me, with a brief cover note from SISA Design. All now arrived, not yet opened and attached but hopefully all sorted out. So I'm a little relieved and pleased.

I know that Dutch culture is focused and doesn't do small talk, but I'm still a little baffled that I've had *no* direct communication from them since placing the order, although they were really helpful about answering queries up to that point. But I'm vey happy to have received the wind deflector (well, at this point a wind-deflector shaped box with something heavy inside :D ) and I'll let you know what I think of it when I've got it on the car.

Normaly its NOT perspex but Lexaan and different to clean.
Dont no the names of cleaningstuf but you better check before ceaning.
Perspex brakes in scharp parts and Lexaan cracks
Good luck

@Jet

Don't know yet, will let you know when I can.

But a) I don't think it'll be glass (would need to be toughened to be safe; not sure it would withstand torsion on the move without shattering; weight vs strength of support?) and b) AFAIK mine is the same one you got...

My first reaction was a smirk, then I realised your serious :D
I know not what it is, but according to my Google companion, it is "finely ground ferric oxide, used as a polish for metal and optical glass".

I'll give it a try. Chz Felix.

You cheeky so and so - accusing me of pulling your leg! As if! ;)

Toothpaste is another choice but probably too coarse unless it's more than just the lightest of light scratches. Mint or regular both work. :D

Is the wind delector already mounted?
Spoke to the suplyer yesterday and he made 1000 excusses that delivery was bad.
He is still in business and was mounting MGB deflectors.

No, sorry, not yet.

As I tried to explain, what I found worrying was that they didn’t talk to me after I placed the order. Which seemed odd.

Looking forward to a report on the effectiveness of this deflector.
I notice that this unit is wider than many, and slightly lower than my glass one. Mine (Kabbert) has to be angled slightly forward so that the roof clears it when lowering/raising. Not a problem but to my eye it is visually less satisfying than if it were vertical. Perhaps I am OCD?
