My Z1 is now 15 years old. Has anyone any experience on hose life? My car has done approx 15,000 miles and always had correct corrosion inhibiter in system but there must be some general view on hose life as there is on cambelts. Any rubber fetish experts out there?

Z1 Hoses

My Z1 is the same age of yours & I have only been forced to change one particular hose. These were the (2) hoses that connect the engine block with the heater matrix. One had developed a slight leak. But taking this as a sign of things to come I bit the bullet & had all the cooling hoses replaced at the annual service. After all 15 years is a pretty good life for something that is constantly subjected to extremes of heat & cold & flexing !!
Apart from the cost (astronomical) of the hoses I'm glad I did it for the peace of mind I now have - good for another 15 years !!!
