Nice to see a Z1 on track

Post by Mark A »

It was nice to see a Z1 being used on our trackday at Bedford Autodrome on Saturday.

I tracked mine when I had one!

BTW Mark, I've built the GTM - now in the post build modification phase!

Oh, and I've been on one of Phil's Midlands Meanders with it.

do you actually like driving at all or are cars to you just a manifestation of some sort of pathological mother complex ?

Thare was a very neat little Dream Black one at the BMWCC Day at Silverstone too - no slouch either!

You weren't hanging around.
I thought the Z1 looked so fresh against newer cars. It really is a design that has aged well. Looking at one alongside a Z3 you would be hard pressed to say the Z3 looked a more modern design.
I was there in the CSL - looking all of it's 33 years, but beautiful with it!
Good day all round.
Best regards,

Sam Lever.

I think she thought it constituted remarkably cruel and unusual punishment for a cold December morning but she seems none the worse for it!

Good thing too as what she hasn't yet realised is that on Saturday she has to haul ass all the way from London to Monaco in one day.

Nice photos! I have the Weismann Hardtop too on my Z1.
I think it's one of the few hardtops that actually make the car look better.

Monaco in one day huh?

I drove mine down to the South of France in one day and all I can say is....take a nice comfy cushion! Backside was completely dead after 15 hours!!

Have a great trip!

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Are you going tonight? I'll be at the meal but not doing the run (X-Trail just isn't suitable) as the Exige is still in bits. :(

I meant to come over for a chat but was either busy making sure everyone was happy and the event was running smoothly or you weren't around, maybe next time.

It's made by a German company called Lorenz Tuning. I can't give you more info than that as it was on the car when I bought it. But yes it really suits the car in my view.
