New member - Orinoco 2.8 - Hello to everyone...
Hello to everyone on this fabulous website. This truly is an invaluable resource. I have finally been able to register on the site and can now post!
I am the relatively new owner (about a month now) of a 1998 2.8 Orinoco edition Z3.
The car has all the usual extras including full Chrome line exterior pack, clear lights all round, electrically operated and heated leather seats, heated mirrors and washer jets, Msport suspension, steering wheel and gearknob, also M kick plates, and is complete with 17 inch split rims, hardtop, AC Snitzer front flippers, rear bumper skirt and spoiler, Full stainless steel exhaust system, its covered 45K miles with FBMWSH....
The car was suppled originally to Fairfield BMW as their demonstrator vehicle at a cost of £34K! with all the extras and have the original bill of sale. It was then sold to a lady who 6 months after buying the car fell pregnant and she traded it in on a 3 series back at the dealership. I purchased the car privately from the 3rd owner who has moved to France and got a pretty good deal on her.
I still grin when I drive the car every time and think its a true classic looking car which is timeless and looks as good today as it did when it rolled off the production line all those years ago.

Your car looks super Orinoco!
My Z3 is also originally from Fairfield where it was a demonstrator, although it found it's way to Oxford first and then on to me in Lincolnshire.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for all your kind comments.
On the colour front Boysie, it looks different in different lights and the angle the light hits it. Its not trick paint like candy or flip finishes but an unusual green (Orinoco) which looks grey, green, turquoise and even black in some lights.
Tags, I too like the estoril blue and to be honest I think the Z3 looks good in all the colours I have seen it in. I think its tasteful lines and curves make it suit any colour you paint it.
Whiteminks, my car too has found its way North; to Durham .It took me six hours to drive it back from Southend-on-Sea. Well worth it and I smiled all the way home.
Stu, it has been lowered, not sure how much by but its weird sitting in traffic looking up at Fiestas and the like!
