Cars will get stone chips, and the bra will only cover a small area at the front. You will still get stone chips further up the bonnet. Use touch up and a buffer. Forget the bra, they are hideous IMHO.
But, it's your car mate. Do with it as you want.

I used to have a bra on my mazda 323... I liked it, and it did keep the stone chips off. Unfortunately, they are not water-proof, and the water collects on the inside, along with dust and dirt - so you end up with a wet end of the bonnet which can encourage rust, or a load of dust which causes loads of fine scratches on the paint.
You can make the case for one for a driving trip, or for temporary summer fittment, but they are certainly not for permanent fittment.
I kind of like them, they are very 80's... but really better for somewhere like the south-west USA, where they have lots of dry weather, sand and bad roads that cause loads of chips.

Autobra products tend to have fairly have poor fitments, I'd recommend using Colgan instead if you do decide to go through with it!
I have one for my Z3... although it's only ever been fitted for this photo alone... I intend to use it more once the car is ready and I'm driving long distances etc to shows!
