Hi all,
I have a Sapphire Black Z3 with the 17" 'Y' spoke alloys (unsure what model number!) which need a refurb.
I fancy the idea of gloss black wheels, but dont know whether it will be too much on a black car? or should I go anthracite or stick with the silver...
Does anybody have any pics of black zeds with black wheels?
Going to be getting black grilles at some point as well, just worried the all black will look like a bit much!
Cheers

Gloss black is IMO just a strange temporary current fashion - you will regret it in the long term when you suddenly look at them one day and think "ewwwwwwwwwwwww"
The Z3 roadster is not that kind of car either IMO. A darker than normal finish can look good but a safe bet is always bright silver.

To me, having anything other than silver wheels is akin to washing your car and leaving the wheels dirty. You can have the body as clean as you like but leave the wheels dirty and it looks nothing. Black or anthracite always looks "dirty" to me. Personal choice of course, but for me the only way to go is silver.

You could always give shadow chrome a go
. As for black on black? Sorry, I like to have some contrast in colours externally, not my cup of tea, but it is your Z.

I've been thinking about this too. I have style 18 wheels and can't decide between standard silver and anthracite
opinions?

i dont think so, think shadow chrome looks better for wheels with many spokes. i think your wheels look great as they are
