Ahh, but the wheel is on the opposite side in the USA so you will end up with two right hand handles.oakley6691 wrote:well i've just gone and spent £162 which included discount for the right hand interior handle in leather from the $tealer and the left cost £29 from USA(delivered)

Now you tell me, oh well never mind, I bought a replacement BMW knob last Autumn which is OK but it feels a little long somehow in its throw.Jonttt wrote:I've got an original spare you could have hadTitanTim wrote:Just gone and blown £157 on a Schnitzer gear knob I need to lie down, think I've lost my senses
Tim,

Been on the look out for an AC short shift and few used ones have come and gone on fleabay but have all been a little scraggy condition wise so thought $0d it, will get a new one, not sure they are worth the money but I like the look of them. Will post some piccies when its landed
Tim.
Cheers Jon, well I have said nowt on my knob purchase my problem is she works from home and opens all my parcels all I can say is I'm dead if she sees the receiptJonttt wrote:Tim, you probably did the right thing as they do show signs of wear over the years
Wait until you tell the misses how much the handbrake handle, pedal set and foot rest are (not much change from £500 ) Can you video her reaction please
Still have some AC pedals to fit, but tomorrows job weather permitting is fitting mudflaps to the 1er, sills are too vulnerable to flying stones they will have to go on.
Tim.
When I consider everything I have spent on my Z3 since I bought it ... a wave of nausea passes over me. But if I divide the costs up into:
1) Wear and tear replacements: new tyres, seat bushings, seat electric switches, air con repairs, new left fog light, seat belt guide replacement, catalytic converter, resonator, rust removed
2) Improvements: roll bars, new soft top (which was inevitable somewhere down the line), new speakers, car alarm,
3) Unnecessary but desired greatly: wind blocker, external mirror covers, door protector strips, mud flaps, second hand hard top (too good a price to pass up)
...then the nausea passes and I don't feel so bad! I have a great car with everything working well.

Had my eye on that one, but not really sure its genuine or its condition as the pic is poor, you can easily buy copies if thats what tickles your fancyEmek wrote:Someone bought probably the same one for 25GBP:

Hi all,
Few piccies of the ACS knob fitted Well I seem to remember when I removed the original illuminated knob last Autumn it came off in a jiffy no probs. I fitted a chome and leather replacement and this was what I was trying to get off this morning and all I can say is I thought the gear box would come out with it and my arm is completely strained I think the other half has got her own back now
Strange how a shorter knob feels better in action, shorter throw and smoother change

Thanks Dolfan, appreciate your commentsDolfan wrote:Really nice knob and head unit Tim they compliment the console, nice touch
The headunit is a Sony and came with the Zed, I did think of changing to an Alpine or another Sony as the one thats in at the moment doesn't accept an ipod Thing I really like about this one is its silver and matches the console quite well. All replacements I've looked at are black these days

Thats too much, got mine almost mint for £16 delivered, still had box and labels (was mis described)Titan wrote:You're letting the side down Jonttt ...
How come you missed that one?
I would not have bothered as I sold the one that was fitted to my car but with 1 min to go and at £15 I could not resist (is in much better nick than the one I sold for £50+ )
Jon you must know an insider on Fleabay I always seem to miss the bargainsJonttt wrote:Thats too much, got mine almost mint for £16 delivered, still had box and labels (was mis described)Titan wrote:You're letting the side down Jonttt ...
