well i`ve gone and done it now !
fist i would like to say many thanks for the help and support about my general guestions regards zeds in the past , this place is a good source of info about these cars ,and still looking at topics long into the night !! , but after much soul searching and trips to here and there ( yesterday up to doncaster ) and getting to veiw and test drive some good uns and some not too good uns , i finally bagged me a zed , funny enough it was the first one that i spotted in a show room less than ten minuets away from my house about three months ago , im sorry to say that i`d had enough of looking at cars in the auto trader / ebay /pistonheads and i know that i will have poss paid over the top for it ( independant dealer ) but hey it looks a goon un to me and i p/x my car against it , all singing 2.0 zed comming to my house next weekend

Of course it doesRob Tan wrote:... doesn't his purchase make him part of the Z3 family?
PS - If you are going to help us with joint purchases, I'd like a Z8
You buy it, I'll drive it and send the photos.
Which reminds me - Mrs VioletDuck (Senior) should be due out of hibernation soon

Bussy Bear sounds like you are well pleased with your purchase, paying slightly over the odds is no bad thing if thats what it takes to find a good example of a Z3,and it probably will work out cheaper in the long run .
A good Z3 will give endless pleasure when buying a nail only gives grief as many have found out to their cost.
Roll on sunny days as that is when a Z3 is at its best.

thanks maxman , i really got so fed up looking at rough cars tbh , you scour thru adverts and pick out something that sounds about right , age and mileage , i must admit that i really did not travel that far but the dissapointment when you get to view and find out that its really not what you want , oh and also when you find a car that sounds perfect , make arrangements to view only to be told that the car is now sold ! downer . i spotted this new one about three months ago , and thought hey yeah its a good ,nice example , but what else is out there , dont buy the first one that you see, after sat another dodgy car , i thought to myself , just check it out again , and the deal was done , heart first -head last oh well bugger , pick it up sat , got my insurance sorted yesterday , just a shame that im in all day sunday painting the dinning room, doh !!
