Hi, just joined the site as i bought an 02 2.2sport in Estoril blue (blue roof too :) ),today but won't get it until next weekend :( . Really excited and have some ideas how to improve her as she is very clean and tidy but pretty standard, i'll also be calling on all of your expertise at some point i'm sure as although (fingers crossed), i've got a good one i'm not naive to fact that cars like these are often temperamental and can have problems so in advance...i apologise for any ''dumb'' things i might end up asking :) but am looking forward greatly to Z3 ownership :) :)

Some people believe that the 2.2i 6pot is the best sounding Z
I of course totally agree with them

Hi Diamondj and a zed welcome from me too.

Before you start doing all your "improvements" - be sure to get out there and just drive it.

Zeds are not meant to sit on drives and in garages especially when the sun is shining :drive :thumb:

No spoilers will be involved in any upgrades i make i assure you, the shape of the car is already far too good to ruin it like that 8-)

I'll definitely be taking her out on the roads before i start changing anything, gotta' get a real feel for her before any changes, she needs naming too, but i won't know that until i've spent some quality time with her :)

Welcome to Z ownership, you'll love it.

What is the output of the 6 cyl 2.2?

My car is a 6cyl Z3 2.3 (2.5L engine 170 HP)
2000 Z3 2.3 Topaz Blue Metallic over Black and Sandbeige leather.

Got the Car on Saturday and unfortunately haven't taken the pics yet but am absolutely loving it - it sounds soooo Good and speed wise, lets just say... she was three digit frisky on the Motorway :) it was a struggle to keep her in line; all i keep getting from people is ''lovely car, love the colour'' (Estoril Blue) :) - i promise to get some pics sorted very soon.

Well, maybe the MKers' would like to meet up one day. You might spot my Zed outside the Thames Valley Police station (No, Im just parked in the car park), on a Friday lunchtime. Only because I normally go to Starbucks in Midsummers Place on a Friday.

Best colour? 8-) And //M, well, yes, totally agree, don't mess with anything with an //M.
