An acoustically enhanced three-ply composite made of an acrylic twill weave outer fabric, an elastomeric inner layer and a polyester/cotton lining fabric.

I think that Mohair has become a generic term like "Hoover", "Jeep" and "Biro"

Hi

We can send you a sample of this fabric if you wish? This way you can both see and feel the material and help cure your curiosity :) If you'd like to pm me your address I'll pop a sample in the post to you.

Just checked your website and the Z3 hood fitted looks excellent from what I can see. What is the charge for a fitted hood at your factory in black. Also is the rear screen stitched in,or can it be fitted with a genuine BMW zip in window :?: :)
Thanks.

My hood is definitely Mohair and the definition of mohair is

a yarn or fabric made from the hair of the angora goat.

Mohair sounds nice and plush but frankly I'd rather have a nice inert synthetic like acrylic or polyester, with suitable UV stabilisation, which will resist the rigours of the UK weather rather better than goat hair. Yes I know goats live outside but they're growing new hair all the time!

Think Zippy will be okay then, he lives in a garage and when we're out the hood is practically always down so not much weathering going on :D
