Filler Cap Drain Blocked

Post by muppet »

I had water gathering at the fuel filler, I did remember talk of bit of grass and stuff pushed in to clear it...my solution

Garden Strimmer Line

I used the white 1.3 mm stuff pushed up from the bottom of the drain pipe , found under car straight down from the filler and in about six inches.

Once I had it cleared I flushed through with clean water

It worked :zmurf:

Is it not easier to go in through the top? Or were you frightened of compacting the crud?

When I did mine, I mopped it out, then gave it a proddle with a wooden kebab skewer (I had loads of them, as I never cook kebabs!). A good rinse with some clean water straight into the rubber bit and it was weeing on the floor like a good 'un.

Cheers R.

Full of water and such like and could not see or feel it, there was a drip coming from the pipe which made it easier to get at.

So like you Alfie I could not find any hole...
