do you already have roll hoops? as i think these are just cosmetic hoops for non roll hoop zed's. will be simple enough to fit but will obstruct the centre storage bin lid from lifting.

If you already have roll hoops then I really recommend the item number 350341615565. I brought these and fitted them to mine, very easy to fit and come with the correct tool to remove the torx bolts. They are a decent quality and the cheapest you will find. I made an offer of £60 and he accepted so can't grumble at £69 all in!

Excuse my ignorance but looking to get some hoops myself my Z3 does not have any hoops fitted at the moment so anyone know what else I need to purchase as these have no fitting kit.

Thanks

you need all the interior trim parts probably. some people have got them from a breakers and the whole lot (inc. bars) costs around £300.

alternative is the one piece bar: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-Z3-STAINLESS- ... 35aa88dd47

depends which you want and how much you want to pay for it

Just finished fitting mine . . . .at last! Managed to get them knocked in to within about 1" either side. Found an ideal tool to clean the insides of the turret towers,it's from Clarke air a 25 piece Sanding Drum Kit it's perfect, borrowed from a friend. Last knockings were aided by my son, wearing latex gloves to give some grip, pulling down on the bar as I clobbered it from above. Job done.Looks fantastic. Now for the headlights, they've just got to be easier, haven't they?

For anyone thinking of fitting roll hoops of any description, this thread is very much worth a read.

We retro-fitted roll hoops in my our 98 Z3.

Got all the parts and trim off a wreaked one.

It's a half day job, and best to do it when you have the time to enjoy it. Not difficult, just time consuming.
