It was a good day weather wise, sun at times and partly cloudy and a cool 85 degrees F. 4 Z3's and an e92 coupe went on a trip... Below are some of the sights of our tour.

Cool cruise. Looked a lot warmer than our cruise in North Wales last weekend.

Great pictures from across the pond, but have you guys not got the technology to put your cables underground? :)

Well, at 3.79 million square miles thats a rather expensive proposition. :D

FWIW though, all new areas being developed are using underground conduit systems. :)

It was a lot of fun :D Hope you run across some as well, but most likely it'll be at night or evening as the desert sun doesn't seem too comfortable to top down motoring.

Sure thing! Yes, Little Egg Harbor... No idea how it got that name.

Well now we all know...........

The first recorded account of the area was made by Captain Cornelius Jacobsen Mey who sailed the harbor area in 1614.

This early explorer named the area Eyre Haven, the Dutch word for “harbor of eggs,” since numerous bird-nesting sites were found.

This has been applied to the Little Egg Harbor and the Great Egg Harbor River areas. However, not until the turn of the 17th century was the area inhabited by white men, with the earliest settlements being made in what is known today as Tuckerton Borough.

And thanks Snoops for digging out the background history - I'm a sucker for this type of local information there always more to a place than just the name :rtm: :colourful:
