Newbie question - pre / post facelift?

Post by CoachOz »

I've been reading some posts on this issue and am a little confused. I have a 97 2.8 which I presume is a pre facelift wide body. I'm just wondering what the post facelift Zed looks like.

If someone could direct me to some pics of the various models I'd be grateful.

I've seen very few 2.8 and 3.0 models for sale here in Oz as most are the smaller engine variety.

thanks for that - so in the bodywork dept. is it just the reworked guards that differentiate?

Sorry but facelift wins, see this poll
linky

the others are just too old fashioned looking with their vintage rear lights

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

The pre-facelift looks more aggressive but also older, the face lift still looks good, about 50:50 for me.

However the Z3M Roadster rear looks better than both, and though the pre-facelift non-M is similar the 4 pipes and relocation of the reg plate completely transform it IMO.

Well IMHO, the M looks best but to find one here in OZ would need to spend $10,000+ more than I paid for my 2.8. So back in the real world I have to say pre looks best to me - and I own one!
