Z3 as a wedding car?

Post by mooney »

Will be starting to plan our wedding soon and trying to stick to tight budget, thinking of using the Z3 as the wedding car.

Has anyone done this before?

Good idea/ bad idea?!

DavidM (a previous owner of Jonttt's Imola ///MR) and his lady PN (who had a velvet blue Z3) used their Zeds as a highlight of their wedding day and there were lots of other Zeds at the doo.
It was a bit before my time so I wasn't there, and the historical threads with pics that were on this site were lost when we were hacked some years ago.

There have also been several other 'Zed' weddings over the years, but the cars haven't played the lead role.

Get your Zed shiny enough and it will be a real star of the day...

Good luck!

A.

I can count at least three on here!

Here's mine from when I was best man at a friends wedding - we went to the church in it.

Might be less practical for the bride, as on the way to the wedding the mother-in-law will have to go in the boot and on the way back from the wedding you will have to drive. There is also the problem of getting the bride's dress in...

Oh dear, serious caution required here . . .

ONLY if the "bride to be" is in agreement :!: AND ONLY if it's a short distance to the gallows . . .

Used mine for our wedding, went to the regestry office with my brother (best man) in the rain (October) then the sun came out and me and the wife drove top down to the reception 8-)

I've also used her to take a friends bride to the church.

Well it just so happens that I am the ''bride to be''! :D

I love the idea. I will make sure my dress is small enough to fit

I'm sure your zed will look fantastic and classy.

Are you putting some ribbon on like others have done?

Is it a summer event with hopefully some sun and top down? :D

It would be the perfect choice if the weather is OK.

And it coul be two of the items below:

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE But not to old.

Very true! I like the idea of it being my something blue.

I was thinking of spring or autumn, but il still have the top down. I had the top down the other day at just a few degrees above freezing.

Ribbon is a must
