17" radial alloys - centre cap size
Looking for replacement centre caps for my wheels - genuine radial type 32's. am i correct thinking they are 68mm? looked on ebay, can get set of 4 genuine bmw crome style for £34, anyone got any ideas?
About £3.50 a cap from your local BMW dealer's parts desk if BMWFans' price is up to date. Part #5 with two versions of it - click the pic for more info.

I bought a set of BMW centre caps from my local BMW dealers in May 2009. The part number was 36.13.6.783.536. They worked out at £2.57 each plus VAT.
Even allowing for inflation and the 2.5% increase in VAT, I find it hard to believe that a dealer can charge £35 for a set!!!

If BMW are now charging £35 for a set when the were about £12 inc VAT two years ago, we must be funding someone's bonus!!!

Don't know Snoops, but they are BMW dealers as you can see from the invoice.snoops wrote:Mine are with the chrome edge and the part number you have said.
Is it possible they charged you for the others?
I think I'm going to make a phone call, I haven't fitted them yet.
I don't know how current the prices are on the parts catalogue that Robert T posted above, but if you double click in it, it brings up a parts list with prices. Check item 5 and it gives two options, the originals and the chrome trimmed ones. Compare the prices on the right and you will see that there is only 17 (Euro) cents difference between them.
As I said, unless someone at BMW has had an enormous bonus, I can't see the justification for a 200%+ price increase in (not quite) two years.

Just as a footnote, I found this thread from a couple of years ago. If you check the first post, Mike says that he bought a new set of centre caps for £2.50 each, but further down the thread both Titan and Bally indicated that they paid somewhat more.
I certainly wasn't made aware that they were on some kind of special offer at the time.
