tonneau cover and wind deflector - using at same time

Post by pedro20001 »

hi, anyone use a genuine wind deflector and tonneau cover at same time? only asking as the 2 studs behind the roll bars seem too short to allow the cover to fit on - or am I just being a spoon?

There was 2 elongated studs, which came with the wind deflector, to swap over

Nothing is as frustrating as arguing with someone who knows what he's talking about.

You don't really need to use the inboard studs for the tonneau cover, the outside studs hold it inplace ok. I've never used them.

Complete opposite for me, I only use the 2 inboard elongated ones as I can never get the outboard ones to line up

Yeah the 2 outer studs are plenty to hold it in place, i use it all the time along with the wind deflector. Just tuck the centre part down on the cover when its on and it wont budge! Took me 10 minutes to put it on the first time.... longest it takes me now is about a minute! Once you get used to it, its very quick to put on, and it really does finish the car off.

I fitted my Tonneau for the first time at the weekend and it does do a good
job in hiding the messy bits of mechanics in the hood. It looks good with the
mesh wind stopper .............. :)

You should still be able to buy the longer pegs. Part #3 below. We did have someone searching for a cheaper alternative a while back, but not sure if they found any. I did have a spare set, but they have already gone to another zedder.
