Legendary BMW 328 - 75th birthday this year

Didn't realise that the lovely BMW 328 celebrates its 75th birthday this year. Only 464 were made, and it was the most successful sports car of the 1930s on the racing scene. 2.0-litre straight-six engine.
'In an age when supercharged monsters ruled, the lightweight, agile 328 roadster was a sensation and ushered in a new era in motor sport, following a spectacular winning debut at the Nurburgring lin June 1936.'
A timeless beauty of an open-top two seater car. Has anyone got any good pics?

This 328 chassis number 85337 was one of the three ordered by the German government to run in the 2-liter class for the 1939 season.
They finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in class at LeMans.

I had to google that, as almost all of my collection of Thoroughbred & Classic Cars Magazine (bought the first one in 1979 when I was seventeen years old)
have been destroyed last week, as they were stored in a cellar that got flooded.

Can I just say that I smoked the pants off a 328 on Friday off the lights at Shoreham. There's something ti be said for a lightweight roadster.
