Cargo Net

Was the cargo net in the passenger footwell that I've seen in a lot of photos a standard item on all Z3's? Mine doesn't have one nor does it have any signs of any fixings where one would have been. How does it attach?

Mines a pre facelift 2.8 and it has clips that seem to just be attached to the carpet and it slots into them. Forever coming off though if you put too much in. Alec

It was certainly an "extra" cost option on pre-facelift models, according to Walker's book.

Well the book is wrong then! It was fitted as standard to my 01/99 pre-facelift 1.9 - I know this, as I only specced two options, and that wasn't one of them. If it was not included on the early cars, then I suspect BMW started throwing them in when they began fitting the ///M steering wheel and gearknob to pre-facelift cars as "standard".

Cheers R.

What year is yours? Sounds to me like the fixings might not have been installed on earlier pre-facelift models, since si-forks who also has a 97 doesn't have them either :shrug
