My old knob just isn't performing as it should...

Post by Icecube »

The time has come, I was in the car and looked down to notice that my knob was a bit old and worn. So i have decided that it is time to replace my illuminated Mtec leather gear knob with something new. Infact the last time my wife drove the car she managed to pull it off when attempting to find the rear gear.

Where can i buy a new illuminated Mtec gear knob or should i get something aftermarket?

Regards.

I bought an Mtec chrome and leather one off of Z3Cade as he is changing to a Storm. Much better than the plain leather one originally in there that had split and been glued in by the prevous owner

There were a couple on ebay when I was looking and you can get the illuminated ones still...........

.......handy if you can't remember which way the gears work

My Mtech gearknob was a bit wobbly from Centre to right.
Yesterday i pulled it off & laid one elastic band curled up in the slot on the gear lever. it was overhanging by about 5 mm both sides. I pushed the gear lever back on & its solid with no movement. simple fix that works well :)
