Hi , fellow members
I am new to this forum, went to citp last year and met a great bunch of guys who gave me mucho info
I have a problem with my 2.0ltr roadster
Runs fine one day then when I stop for 1/2 hour or so takes a couple of turns to fire the engine up ...then runs as if no fuel is getting thru and dies on me at junctions / traffic lights at low revs
..renewed fuel filter last week
Sorry not mechanically minded ..need help so I can get to the meets . any body have any ideas????????

Sounds like it could be camshaft or crankshaft sensor. Do you have someone with an OBD11 scanner who can plug it in to check for fault codes for you

Re: CUTTING OUT AND STALLING
I agree, cutting out and stalling at low revs can be one symptom of a cam sensor problem. A failed crankshaft sensor often causes the complete inability to start.
Re: CUTTING OUT AND STALLING
Thanks for the prompt reply to my question
been to the coast (whitby) today and she ran sweet as a dream approx 150 miles round trip
cannot understand why she chugs and sometimes takes a few go,s to start now and again
will look into the sensor failure
Again thanks muchly for your help

Re: CUTTING OUT AND STALLING
Hi and welcome
My very recent experiences suggest that this could be the large hose from the maf sensor to the throttle valve split or totally fallen apart like mine was. Check out my topic for some pics and info.
