Water in battery well & squeeky steering wheel

Post by NickTheGreek84 »

Hi Guys

Just getting my Z all prepped ready for summer, tring to cure all of the niggly little faults, one of which is the water that gets in the boot, i have NO IDEA where it is getting in, any common places to check?

Also my steering wheel has an irritatin squeeling noise when turning full circle, tried just a little wd40 in there but wont go, any idea?

Appreciate any help you guys can give

Nick

Hello mate
A common place for the boot to leak is through the brakelight on top of the boot, the seal may need changing.
As for the steering wheel I am not sure but if its plastic touching plastic try silicon spray as that will be better than wd40

The 3rd brakelight is the most common entry point for water in the boot, but there are others.

Mine was leaking through the rear light cluster (both actually!), the ariel grommet is another possibility.
