Rear wing removal

There are early signs of rust on my rear wings. After searching through previous posts there seems to be differing advice regarding removal of the wings - one indicating wings can be removed without sill removal the other stating that sills need to be removed first.
Any opinions ? Also, how long should the job take for an experienced panel beater?

I took me about 20 minutes to remove my drivers side sill cover. Another 10 minutes to take out the wheel arch liner (including taking the wheel off). I don't know how much longer for the wing itself as I think there are quite a few bolts holding it on (I was just treating mine to a good dose of Bilt Hamber UC wax to prevent your problem).

According to the BMW TIS the sill does not need to be replaced, see below.

Not sure on the timings but if it is an experienced panel beater it should be no problem.

Thanks for the reply. The wings are coming off, rust removed and treated, areas that had rust will be sandwiched between fibreglass resin, stonechipped then painted.
I will take photos of each stage and do a write-up

Out of interest, where are the wings rusting and what year is the car? I'd heard that they can rust where the wing meets the bodyshell, but thankfully (given my usual bad luck with used cars ) mine seems to be good, so I just cleaned, dried and then sprayed with the Bilt Hamber UC.
