Splitters.....for the tarmac...
Found those splitters in the USA...I was a little shocked when they quoted $950.00 for shipping
Eventually they got it right at $68.00....
They arrive primed, unpainted, but pretty decent fiberglass construction.
Pictures to be posted in a few weeks...

Correct g8jka. I was after some Falken 452's but I could not get 4, so I went for the Maxxis MAZ1 instead - bit cheaper too.
I also like the tread pattern on these Maxxis

Yeah I like the tread pattern, was recommended them by the tyre fitter. He said they are just as good, if not better than the falkens and cheaper too.
So it was a no brainer really

Don't know how much the Avons are but the fronts [225/45] were £79.80 and the rears [245/40] were £89.88. Total £339.36Brian H wrote:Tread very similar to the Avon ZZ3 i have used for a few years, probably a dam sight cheaper too.
FWIW if I could have got the Falkens the total would have been £388.42.

Hi Rich, I got them online, I use Event-Tyres (http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/. They are a mobile fitting outfit - very good they come to your home (or work) at any time you select. I've used them about 3 times now, good prices and excellent service. I ordered these at about 23:00 on Tuesday evening and they were on the car by 16:00 on Wednesday. I recommend them.RichP wrote:did you get these from a local supplier or online?
