Thanks, tent was awful, we were curled up like prawns in it so only used it for 2 nights then spent the rest of the time in hotels!

Like the pics- its something I'm thinking of doing next year. Did you plan the route and stops yourself? Id be interested in any places you'd recommend to stop (or avoid)!

We kind of did a rough plan, for the first few stops but then worked out where we wanted to go day by day.

Was gutted that we couldnt do the Stelvio Pass as the breaks had semi failed and we we in Chur at the time and was told by a mechanic that he couldnt take a look for 4 days so we were running out of time and had to take a different route. Maybe next time?!

Places which we worth stopping at..hmm Saint Annecy was a refreshing and wonderful place to stop, we loved it so much we stayed over again on the way back. Venice was fantastic and we stayed at the Hotel Palazzo Priuli whic was wonderful. We opted out of the main lakes such as Como and Garda and opted for Lake Orta which is less commercialised than the others.

We also visited the Chapagne houses, which was a shocking experience. although the houses were breath taking in opulence, the area itself had a menacing feel and had the french equivalent of chavs loitering around. The restaurant we dined at though was fantastic.

We stayed at a place on top of a mountain in switzerland, Ill have to get back to you with the name, but it was so quaint and they had a few locals in there and although they couldnt speak English and we couldnt speak German we still all managed to have a great time (only the owner could speak both English/German) Oh and the locals looked like they were in ZZ Top...briliant!

I would highly recommend the trip though, I plan to do it again as soon as I can afford it! Was worth every penny!

Fantastic. I have family on the Costa Blanca and I'm looking forward to taking the Zed there sometime. I can just imagine cruising down the Med, roof down, shades on. Maybe a bit of AC/DC to cruise to!!

I have to say, the tent looks less roomy than the Zed!!

Looks great. Did a trip this year to Sicily but sadly not in the Zed - fitting luggage, German Shepherd and wife in (she insisted on coming) would have been a problem. Will do a similar in the Zed another time. For route planning and accomodation I would recommend http://www.drive-alive.co.uk/route_planner.asp.
