Recommended - strut brace.

Post by mikefi »

Hi,

Just invested in a front strut brace from http://www.bmtown.com/

Not paid by, or in any way connected with them - but friendly service and a good product go a long way in my book!

Took all of 20 minutes to fit, and I can definitely feel an improvement in front-end stiffness.

Err -

Never mind....

Crap - don't tell me that a safety device such as this counts as a mod?!?!?

On one hand the brace improves handling so, as long as you don't take advantage of the improved handling by going faster, in theory there should be fewer accidents and therefore claims.

On the other hand, some of the energy from an impact that would normally only affect one side of the car gets transferred to the other side and potentially increases the damage.
