Angel Lights

Post by Kate »

Hi!!

I really want to get some angel lights for my z3 :) BUT i dont know what ones to get, chrome or black? I just want some ideas / pictures if anyone has any so I can see the difference :)

Also where is the best place to get them? they seem pretty expensive but definately worth it!!!

Thank you x

We have the chrome ones on ours. Looks will depend on car colour. The chrome ones brighten the front end up which is good for our car with it being silver but probably wouldnt look as good on a dark colour car. Image
Not a brill pic will try and post a better one when i get in from work

I have chrome on my Cosmo Black Z....I think the chrome looks more "current". Black is also cool, but perhaps if you want a more "boy racer" look.
iLog onto eBay UK and search "BMW Z3 headlights" there's ton's of them. They all come from Taiwan in the end... Just make sure you specify RHD as lots of advertisers are from the USA, and you don't want a set for LHD.

I think the chrome ones would look good on your z as you got a lighter colour blue than me, I spent a couple of hours looking at Google images of dark blue z3s hoping to catch a couple with both lights fitted , nothing so far to make my mind up :shrug .
The z is on sorn till the end of the month then a fresh MOT and some tax and hopefully a bit of sunshine 8-) then a long weekend trip to the Scottish boarders. :drive

I have the chrome angeleyes and they look so much better than the Oem ones. Really brings the front of the car to life and looks so shiney. Pic in post above. I can say it is worth the expense. I paid around £220 for ours

I fitted those about 18 months ago, they are an improvement in looks and performance. I prefer the chrome ones having a car with the OEM chrome pack, but it is a matter of preference.

I want to improve the lights on my Z which is in Estoril Blue. I like the ideas of the chrome look but wonder if it is a bit flash? When you buy these fro Taiwan as this thread seems to suggest, are they tungsten halogen bulbs or HID which I understand requires some sort of upgrade kit? Any thoughts?

They're standard bulbs...no upgrade required, and the "projector" lamps make a huge difference to night vision, which the OEM Z3 lights really lack. It doesn't look flash...just more "contemporary". it kinda keeps the Zed looking "current"

Have a look at some of the pics on this thread...you'll see they're really not flash. I have a black car, and have the "chrome" lights...they look totally normal.

Looking at the Dectane site they do a version with LED angle eyes instead I wonder if these will be brighter than the CCFL version?
