Is there a pollen filter in the Zed?

Post by John1950 »

I have a '99 2.8 and was wondering if there is a pollen filter in the car.
If there is, can anyone tell me it's location please and how to change it?

Thanks.

In the Z3 no, but I have a friend with a late model convertable Mustang that has a pollen filter.

I think the 3 series has under the panel beneath the wipers but wouldn't expect the Z3 to have one unless it had aircon?

Agreed the 3 series does. I think the confusion arises in the service book where under Inspection 1 it states `Heater or air conditioning system: renew microfilter........'.
There is also a tickbox on `Evidence of work pages ' but this is written for numerous models.
It should probably just refer to air con as stated above. I had my heater intake grill and wiper assembly apart last year and there was certainly no filter present.
