Black Anodised Alloys

Post by eyerisk »

Hi,

I am looking to get the spoked parts of my wheels black anodised leaving the rim chrome, the alloys rim is quite deep and I have already taken it to one firm who could not perform the process due to the depth of the alloy. I am based up in Newcastle so would need someone pretty local......there are loads of firms who offer the £50-60 quid per corner but am looking to reduce the legwork and hopefully obtain a recommendation from the forum ?

Any thoughts, let me know......sorry for the poor pic, its the only one I have on my phone.

Cheers

Have a word with Powder Coating companies.

Are you sure you can anodise only a part od the rim??? I think you have to anodise the whole thing and then eventually remove it on some parts by polishing!

Ian, those are a nice looking set of wheels and your probably better to sell them and buy a set of black and chrome wheels. I bought this set off eBay for under £500.

Your wheels, as is, look better on your car color than the black center that you are wanting to do.

My opinion.

Wow. 20"? You have any side shots of the car? I'm curious. Personally, I think 19" is pushing it on these cars, but I wonder how it looks on 20".
