mirror damage

went out this morning to find my driver's mirror hanging only daughter home early hour's must have bumped against it wasn't me was the usall reply raging mad i am can any body post a link on how to repair as i cannot find it your help would be most apprieciated

Where exactly is it broken? Can you post a picture.

the usual place alloy part inside bottom part all degraded have epoxyed it at this time but i don't hold out much hope will let it harden overnight i have lined the curved part with a thin layer of plate to strenthen when set i hope. will keep you posted if it work fingers x

I don't think you can blame your daughter for a rotting mirror base :?

I hope you can fix it with ease mate . its a lovely (little :lol: ) zed you have ,so clean and tidy , did I see you collecting a prize for the show and shine event at the BMW Scotland day :?:

Mine still working no probs.......actually thing the drivers side may have the same problem.

About to tackle spraying base this weekend........

pcsam , yes my weeee 1.9 managed to get second place 1st went to e36 alpina coupe nice car did you enjoy your short time with us .a lot of M3's though doing a glencoe run early july if intrested with bmwcc let me know or have a look at it yourself what about splitter web address if you still have it

to all i have epoxyed and metal puttyed bottom of mirror seems ok my base was perfect untill trying to remove spring got all chipped now waiting for primer to dry will paint tomorrow update later

all fixed now how long it lasts is anybodys guess sorry no pics but pleased with results thanks to everybody who has posted pics on there repairs follow these you can't go wrong
